Happy New Year from everyone at West End Intergenerational Residence!
I'd like to take a moment to give thanks to all of our supporters, both old and new, who helped make this holiday season special for the residents of West End! A huge thanks to Catherine Hickland and her friends for throwing yet another amazing Holiday Celebration this year. Our residents got the chance to enjoy a delicious holiday dinner, mingle with Soap Stars and meet Santa Clause.
I'd also like to thank our many supporters who donated to this year's Annual Fundraising Appeal. West End experienced deep cuts to our 2009/2010 budget placing the essential programs and services which have improved the lives of so many individuals and families in great jeopardy. If you didn't get the chance to contribute to our Appeal, there is still plenty of time to help. Please click here to make a contribution to West End.
As we enter the New Year, we continue to develop new and exciting programming for our young mothers, seniors and children. Recently, volunteers brought the generations together with a Yoga Group and our Book Club and Intergenerational Art Programs continue to provide time for residents to connect with one another.
